Michelle Jones Photography is based in Northern Virginia, serving the Washington, DC area. Michelle specialises in photographing life’s most precious moments, from the blissful bubble of engagement to the nervous thrill of a newborn. It’s the story behind the journey that captivates Michelle, and she captures it all with care and authenticity. The result? Gorgeous memories that families can treasure for a lifetime. 

When Michelle asked me to help elevate her brand identity, I was truly honoured to bring her vision to life. First, we began with a friendly and relaxed chat to explore what drives her photography business – her goals, values and aesthetic vibe. Understanding the heart of a venture is the key to creating a custom brand identity that flows naturally and feels right.

Next, I reviewed Michelle’s portfolio, finding common themes in her photography to inform my design process and ensure a brand identity unique to her business. She has a distinct style that is feminine, bright, timeless and personal. I chose typography to reflect that aesthetic – it’s traditional yet still feels warm and connected.

I added bespoke hand-drawn floral graphics to echo Michelle’s love of apple blossoms, which feature in many of her photos.
